	ANNUAL MIDPARK GOLF OUTING Thanks to everyone who took part in the annual Midpark Alumni/Mick Shugar Memorial Golf Outing at Blue Heron Golf Course. We're happy to report it was a great success and we look forward to seeing everyone again next year!
	The Midpark Courtyard Gets a Welcome and Long Overdue Makeover! This past summer, the Midpark Alumni Association, with the help of some members of the Class of '75, cleaned up the courtyard, painted the benches and did some landscaping. The result is a beautiful area that can be used by many different groups and classes, and enjoyed while walking to class. As you look into the courtyard from the cafeteria, you will notice several theme gardens. To the left of the doorway is a Japanese garden; the green shrubs already there were the starting point for the design. In front of the Japanese garden are two culinary herb gardens. In the stone planter across from the Japanese garden is a Shakespearian garden depicting a fairy in a woodland setting from A Midsummer Night's Dream. The other stone planter was left relatively untouched because of the ducks that use it as their home each spring. Please also notice the Alumni Plaza outside of the main entrance to the high school. Bricks inscribed with the names of Midpark alumni patrons have been installed. A special thanks to Joe Silva, Glen McLaren, Bob Sofchek and Nancy Rylow for their work on the courtyard this past summer.
